Blackfeather Lodge, a timber-and-stone sporting lodge glowing at dusk beside a calm river
A Sporting Lodge — Est. 1971

Wake to the river. Gather at the table.

An all-inclusive fly-fishing and wingshooting lodge on the Roaring Fork — guided days afield, fireside evenings, and a long table that's been set for over fifty years.

The trip is the point. We quietly handle the rest.

One rate covers everything — your guide, the rods and the guns, every meal, the cocktails, and a room with a view of the water. No outfitting, no logistics, no decisions past which fly to tie on. Arrive Sunday; the only thing you'll plan is when to come back.

Sporting

Days afield, by the season.

Wild trout in the spring and summer, birds over pointing dogs in the fall. Our guides have worked this valley for decades.

No. 02 — The Table

One table.
One seating.

Every evening ends the same way — a single long table, lit by candles, and whatever the day and the season brought in. Trout you caught that morning, birds from the afternoon, vegetables from down the valley.

"The fishing is why they come. The table is why they come back."

No. 03 — The Lodge

Twelve rooms,
three hearths,
fifty years of stories.

Hand-built of timber and river stone in 1971 and barely changed since. Wool blankets, deep tubs, no televisions — just the sound of the water through an open window.
